Porticus Technology Appoints Key Executive

CTO Joins Biometric Voice Authentication Company

September 30, 2008

LINCOLN , MASS. -- Porticus Technology, Inc., which is driving the adoption of voice biometric authentication for secure and trusted remote communication, today announced the addition of 20-year security industry veteran Jerry Ruggieri as CTO.

Jerry Ruggieri joins Porticus from Fidelity Investments where he led several anti-fraud initiatives in eBusiness security. Prior to Fidelity, Mr. Ruggieri held senior management positions in security businesses and in the professional services group at Bowstreet, an XML pioneer.

"Jerry is a welcome addition to our team whose global security industry experience will assist Porticus in properly identifying and executing placement of our voice authentication systems within diverse, and sometimes proprietary, security systems across the globe," said Germano Di Mambro, CEO and co-founder of Porticus.

Last year, Porticus Technology emerged from stealth mode to announce a suite of voice biometric authentication products based on a patented voice algorithm developed during the course of two decades. Its core technology, called Versona™, has undergone rigorous testing by highly-credible independent laboratories across the country, and is now available for integration into desktops, cell phones, IVR/call centers and time & attendance/physical access control devices.
