Bernardas Salna, PhD
Dr. Salna is an expert in field of forensic speaker identification. Since 1977 he has conducted scientific research in speech analysis, speech production, forensic speech and audio analysis while applying knowledge to multiple product development projects for different applications. He has authored more than 40 papers, which are published in scientific journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Salna currently serves as Head of the Department of Speech and Audio analysis for the Forensic Science Center of Lithuania. In 1990 Dr. Salna received his PhD from Kaunas Polytechnics Institute in methods for LPC synthesis of natural sounding voiced speech in the field of Technical Cybernetics and Information Theory. He is member of ENFSI (European Network of Forensic Science Institute), Forensic Speech and Audio Analysis Work Group, and member of IEEE (Signal Processing Society).
